A cookie is a small file that has a  tracking identifier that is sent by a hosting server or a website to a browser (such as Chrome, Firefox, Edge). The browser then stores this file. The purpose of storing such a file is that whenever a user visits the same website again the website remembers the user and provides the user experience based on the user’s interest and previous searches.
